They state it’s like Mum’s cooking and we agree! It’s wholesome, genuine and each dish had been flavourful. Simple decoration leaving concentrate on food, do require a reservation for certainty,

We really enjoyed our food here. It was a little more expensive but really worth the price. Our food was conventional Nyonya and both plates shipped the products. Our hostess was useful and friendly.

Essential visit restaurant each time I arrived at Penang. Truly Mum’s cooking food style and just tasty. Not as well oily and I'm not really dying of thirst after dinner. Far better go with several 5 or even more, as possible sample more dishes.

The meal was excellent and incredibly authentic. From the peranakan family, I'm quite particular based on the perut ikan and discovered the main one at Mum's Nyonya Cooking area very good

Overrated and more than publicised. My 2nd visit after 4 yrs apart, both period disappointing. The laundry tasted nothing beats a nyonya's cooking food and having developed with my very own nyonya mum's cooking food , i understand what it shld flavor like. The assam pedas seafood, wasanything but. It had been sweet rather than tamarind sour rather than spicy at all, tasted similar to assam laksa gravy. There wasn't even any girls fingers inside it. The assam prawns had been sweet too rather than sour. I remembered the pai tee 4 years back has been tasteless. The inche kai bin lacked the rempah(spices) odor and flavor, no aroma. The poultry had not been marinated long sufficiently, beyond the top and skin, the meats below was tasteless. Also the one in my own hotel tasted much better with great aroma. Just the fried rice proved decent. How will you get it wrong?

I had in fact visited this location a few years back again and forgotten what it had been called and made a decision to try out this place this stop by at Penang. However, the moment I walked in the area, I realised that it had been exactly the same one and myopinions onto it are the identical to last time. It had been horrible. We ordered Assam Seafood, however the curry wasn't actually spicy actually it was sweet. Exactly the same applies to the Assam prawn. Ichin Kabin has been ok however, not that excellent, there wasn;t more than enough spices to it.

The black color pork dish (Tao Yew Bak) not tender at all, very dissatisfied ! Otak- otak is great in the end, too small part of every dish. I'd just say its the initial and last time and energy to visit this. :(

We'd a late lunch time there on the weekday... the cafe is a bit from the tourist region but no problem finding. I've eaten in a lot of Nyonya dining places/eateries but that is by far the very best I had. In fact among the bestmeals I got in years. There isn't actually something as "the" Nyonya cuisine as it's like your mother's cooking food... every mother differs. I love the subtle flavor of the laundry, nothing overspiced which means you burn your mouth area and don't taste other things anymore. It's not an excellent decorated place or perhaps a modern inside. It has a large amount of local visitors rather than tourists which is just excellent. Their Beef Redang, TaoYew Bak (pork meats in a dark/dark shaded sauce) and Otak Otak are excellent... Let the woman of the home recommend you the specialities of your day and the combos... can't go wrong.

We enjoyed our supper in this eating place a lot. The very best Nyonya cuisine we attempted during our stay static in Penang.
