This restaurant has been here for many years. I was raised with meals from Minah Cafe. The quality remains exactly the same, uncompromised. The very best kept key... it's where nearby Penangites go ;-)

Malay curries and spiced stew such as dishes are usually called Gulai. They could appear to be curries but you can find subtle differences, mellower, even more subtle fine flavor. This is the location to go in case you are sick and tired of the Indian Muslim foods the Nasi Kandar which areoften over ranked. Service was good. Meals was excellent. Car parking was quite easy.

Still the very best Malay food within Pulau Pinang so long as I may remember since we went there mainly because children. Food has been tasty and subtle. A significant break from the most common Penang mamak fare. No aircond, but its alright coz, that's how mealsshould be studied.. in airy, sweaty atmosphere. Love that place.

My dinner was simply the 'cold' ikan belah belakang with 'cold' whitened rice, sambal belacan and a spoonful 'cold' kobis masak kunyit. I purchased a 'teh-o ais limau' which they offered me tea with lemon fruit juice. Totally NOT what I anticipated. Total came outto become RM12-20. When i questioned what were the costs for, RM9-70 for makan and RM2-50 for the beverage. I wished I experienced taken pictures. The dude got angry and questioned me back again "apa lagi yang tak puas hati?". It really is my right while a person to question the reason why am we paying that much. Really unexpected to obtain this abusive attitude! Not worth the amount of money when dining during the night!

My son stopped as of this hidden eating place for lunch. It appeared as if a practiced restaurant but very open up from front side to the back finish where they perform the cooking. The design is quite homey, like you head to kitchen to really get your meals. Get thefood yourself and they'll charge later. The screen of food is quite malay and the range is just nice..very few that its really hard to choose from. I really like the taste of seafood curry with women finger and fried tiger prawns. The veggies I had has been pumpkin cooked with lovely asin asin in coconut milk. Top upward with sambal can make my lunch time an unforgetyable one. The flavor of the meals reminds me of the meals my mom cooked in the 1980's.

My consumer brought me here for lunch time. The restaurant will be tucked by the street side, concealed by trees.. the location is spacious and company is brisk.. this is a buffet pass on of the very most appetizing Malay foods. The beef rocks !, salads of most kinds, poultry fried and grilled are usually both equally good.. the new vegetable are frequently watered to help keep green. Seafood is fresh and amazing. The taste is quite authentic.. the owners’ girl is quite friendly. Best component is really as buffet spread has been consumed, new fresh types are increasingly being cooked by your kitchen at the part. Recommend if you can discover the place... otherwise get yourself a local to create you here's I noticed this is popular..

We have been a normal client since my university's time back the 2000s. That genuine Malay food tastes nevertheless the same actually after twenty years. This reataurant had been establised in 1957, nevertheless standing strong, and acts probably the most 'sedap' Malay meals in Penang. Abit expensive but hye...that is good food. Must attempt.
