We stopped as of this dim sum eating place as we wanted a big change of diet plan from the most common penang fare. We purchased the har kau, stewed pork, mushroom cum seafood soup, seafood balls, siew pau, egg yolk pau and some fried dishes. It's personal serviceand hot beverages are limited because they function Chinese tea mainly. We didn't believe the food had been anything to shout about and IMHO hv tasted much better dim sum in smaller sized less popular dim sum restaurants.

For those who have not tried dim sum before, this place may be the first place to begin. Having tried so a great many other dim sum restaurants within Penang, this is actually the worst in my own list. Fried koay kak tasted such as yesterday evening leftover and has been refriedin the morning. Salted egg bun taste even now fine however the bun adhere to your teeth such as glue. Har kaw and siew mai tasted so so, nothing to shout. Price is average.

Great traditional dim sum location. Opens at 530am. We attempted the freshly steamed chang fen (rice roll) that was very nice. Also attempted their baos (BBQ pork bao and meats bao) that have been good as well. Siew mais weren't as good though.

When for breakfast during our visit to Penang maybe once or twice, the Dim Sum was excellent, there was an excellent selection available and extremely cheap. i will suggest getting there earlier before they offer out.

We ordered the har kow, siew mai, fried chee cheong enjoyable, steamed prawn chee Cheong enjoyable, steamed cake, porridge, scallop dumpling, boluo bun, yam cake, char siew bun and chrysanthemum tea. Of all 10 food items, just 4 were regarded hits or possibly justright. The har kow had been tasteless and the prawns had been frozen and hard without taste. Most severe har kow I've attempted. The siew mai and yam cake weren't much better. The scallop dumplings aswell and I would not advocate that you possess any high expectations for dimsum right here. Their porridge has been OK and filled with ingredients while the greatest had been the fried chee Cheong enjoyable. Nearly like char kuay teow but Cheong enjoyable style that was almost the one thing palatable. Char siew bun has been too rather than too sweet which means this furthermore salvaged the shop title. Finally, the steamed cake had been furthermore not bad at all. Soft and yummy but will surely become more fragrant. The Boluo bun is similar to custard bun that is never to my liking. They're definitely not the very best. I would state substandard because dimsum without tasty harkow and siew mai is really a big no no.

The meals was average although crowd was there. An area buddy brought us there since it has been near our resort. One annoying factor was the food had not been prepared quick sufficiently and customers, generally locals helped themselves prior to the food could be offered bythe waiters. Looking forward to one's collection of dimsum to end up being served at the desk was impossible

As soon as you got yourself the table, you will have to visit the front and show the employees what you would like. As we aren't local, we are unfamiliar with what we wish, the staff there present us the dish one at a time forus to choose. But as you can find some other clients waiting to order, just a little stress. They shut by about 12noon.

The dim sum here's excellent in quality, taste, and price. Employees is friendly more than enough. You can also get yourself a coffee here, dark or white; however, avoid being shocked by obtaining takeout coffee offered in a plastic material bag rather than a cup.... yes, just inAsia..... Although you can find signs that say "self service," it isn't. But probably what they mean will be they don't parade around carts of dim sum for you available, as may be the traditional way. Rather, you get a tray, indicate what you need from the metal displays, and they wear it your tray and you go consume it. Pay at the sign up when done. So it is not "self support," but rather similar to assisted service. The food is great and offered at an extremely fair price. Located really near the Rope Stroll guest home where Jalan Pintal Tali finishes. Remember they appear to be open up for breakfast/brunch/lunch, however, not dinner. Preorders are for sale to takeaway. T: 016 4415 492

We stopped as of this Dim Sum eating place as we wanted a big change of diet plan from the most common Penang fare. We purchased the Har Kau (Prawn Dumplings), Siew Mai (Steamed Pork Dumplings), Stewed Pork Ribs with black coffee beans, Century Egg with Surface Pork in beancurd bedding,Braised Chicken Foot and a plate of Hundred years Egg Rice Porridge. It's self service today and hot beverages are limited because they provide Chinese tea mainly. We didn't believe that the food had been anything to shout about once we had consumed at Tai Thong earlier and they were an improved known dim sum cafe.
