Was dissatisfied in my own last trip because the restaurant was closed by enough time I reached previous 2.30pm. Therefore I ensured I reached the restaurant past 9am to use the lor bak. It didn't disappoint since it was refreshing and crispy. The prawn mee didn't taste as effective as the one at Small Penang Cafe in KL because the stock wasn't as rich. The fried kway teow acquired 2 good prawns and small cockles. Wish to go back to attempt the wanton mee and porridge 1 day.

Ok. The one thing good this is actually the loh bak ... the porridge and wan than mee. An absolute local favorite.

The meals is ok to my taste but nothing special. I went there 2 times fr breakfast. I wouldn’t return back. I ate char kway teow (portion okay) and a variety of pork and prawn fritters (so small part but taste ok) The decoration inthis authentic old coffeeshop is common in Georgetown. This is a very busy location with a lot of locals and few vacationers. Plastic chair or stools and tables and ceiling enthusiast, nothing special. The place appeared to be ok clean. Food selection had been ok but nothing at all special. My stomach was typical full Service has been careful by friendly personnel arriving at ask you if it had been ok for you. They're always ready to last. Quick service even though all tables are complete a Saturday early morning. Choose your meals at the tiny stalls and the employees brings it for you when it s ready Maybe I would get back to try the loh bak since it is said it's the best right now there but I came across the place very costly when compared to usual location I eat each morning. Besides I didn’t experience as full.

Older people waitresses were helpful by getting chairs and getting a clean table for all of us. Was rather amazed with the man, probably the boss, using the orders and planning them aswell, as he could keep in mind what we very first ordered whenever we went for asecond assisting..

I was within 2015 and thought the penang char kway teow was great. But this time around, found it ordinary. It is possible to tell when you stroll in at 1pm on Sunday and its own no problem finding a table. Moreover, fifty percent the shop customers purchased laksaor wanton mee. Lor Bak still great. We shared one penang char kway teow between 2 pax, and went somewhere else. No wok hei. RM8 for 1 bowl of char kway teow. Disappointing.

Go early since it closes from 2pm. Seating is bound and tight, but foods is delicate in flavour and excellent. Char kuey teow, poultry rice and lor bak are usually must try.

Finally it really is opened! I proceeded to go there many times 3months ago in fact it is shut 😭 but i'm satisfied a great deal this time around and our band of 5 ordered 10 person part of prawn fritters 😍

We ordered 3 part of drumstick poultry rice ( normal size bowl of plain poultry soup came w the meals) and the costs was rm31.50 altogether. In Penang at typical prices a drumstick poultry rice set was just ard rm5-6 per individual at a similarno air conditioning vintage coffee store. The price listed has been rm7 for drumstick on the stall ( start to see the image) and I only see after we started consuming. Didn’t desire to argue w owner but won’t be returning. Rude man server as well. The food was alright. I’m a Penangites which is really a rare incident.

Visited since it was nearby to your hotel. Food option are very limited and nothing at all spectabular. Tried to Penang Hokkien mee, the soup isn't thick good enough. Wantan mee will be of average taste aswell.

We were recommended to use this place because of its lor bak and we weren't disappointed. I also discovered my lor mee to end up being great and my sister has been content with her hokkienprawn mee. Both folks had the white espresso with ice -though coffee had been reasonably aromatic, it couldn't defeat the Ipoh white espresso that I got at among the coffee stores in Ipoh. All in, we'd return to this restaurant because of its lor bak.
