This is for my dad’s 80th birthday. The food started well with superb starters in the onion soups and outstanding oysters. However, the mains had been a disappointed. The cod was type rubbery but the major disappointment had been in the pork stomach. If you ask me, agood pork tummy begins with edible crispy pores and skin. In this case, your skin was unusually heavy (sign of a vintage pig) and was simply too much and inedible. At first, I thought it will be good to provide feedback to the group so that they learn how to improvise within future. Rather I was in ways informed off that I has been the initial one who complain concerning the meal. Frankly, being truly a regular traveller all over the world, I had been astonished by such reaction. The sensation I get will be that the eating place team appears to suggest I really do not how exactly to differentiate what's and what will be not a quality dinner. And I believed it had been condescending for the waiter to see me that this information is usually from the chef and much more importantly the cooking area doesn't have an cooker to focus on the dish. Plenty of mistakes in an area of a few momemts. Sadly, being truly a local hometown boy, I must say i wish the standards of service could be improved. Disappointing certainly that have spoilt an in any other case good begin to the starters. If the chef is scanning this, our ask is please make an effort to redo the dish and eat for himself whether he is able to actually chew off the pork belly epidermis. A bit difficult to find nestled behind a temple away from a a proven way street but Impeccable in every ways. Wines cellar, oysters flown in from Ireland each day or therefore. Delightful mixture of local and international tastes. E.g. seafood tacos with a Penang twist. Servicepresent but discrete. casual elegance.
