Gurney drive hawker center is crucial visit place in the event that you is actually in Penang. Here you'll find so many various types of food well-known in Penang. Char kueh tiew,:Hokkien mee:lobak;satay and more. However, many stall owners have become territorial and theycontrol so what can or cannot be placed on their table:so it's far better ask whether it is possible to order food from various other stalls. Prices aren't cheap and parking will be abit of an issue.

It's not when i expected with regards to variety and high quality. It could have convenient place, but it isn't better than both prior hawker centres I've visited. Stall no. 47 acts special Char kway teow, prepared with peanut sauce. A good location for abite after performing some purchasing at nearby mall, simply do not forget to bring your personal tissue.

Believe the hype - this is actually the grand daddy of Penang hawker stalls. Excellent high quality food and clear setting combine to provide authentic Malaysian street foods at good prices.

We were filled up with excitement and thus looking towards trying a number of meals at the famous Gurney Travel foods stalls. But we had been met with so very much disappointment. We did a as soon as over first, merely to see what was accessible and what theothers were having. What we noticed wasn't that appealing therefore we made a decision to try just a few dishes. We purchased the char kway tiaw. It had been RM9.00 a plate with chicken egg (you can even choose duck egg at RM9.50 per plate). The portion was Fifty percent the size you'll normally get at additional hawker stalls in Malaysia/Singapore. The flavor had been so bland! Not really worth 3 ringgit aside from 9 ringgit! We also ordered the neighborhood rojak which thankfully fared better. Wonton mee has been just so so. Thankfully the (clean) coconut water was nice and refreshing and the Pasembur rojak was fine but anticipate to pay in twice digits or more. It's rather a pricey if your purchase includes seafood. Our bowl of Pasembur integrated one piece all of tofu, seafood cake, a batter fritter and a squid (topped up with an excellent helping of tasty peanut sauce plus some sliced cucumber or sorts) also it cost RM25.00. Can't help but have a pity party for all your other tourists who have been provided the impression that place may be the real deal for excellent Penang meals. Be warned...

Not really for the faint hearted , with heat and humidity , taking in right here with different strong aromas could be a problem to those that aren’t used to it. The hawker stalls here have really taken popular with the recent fall in tourists dueto travel restrictions. Uncertain if it has anything regarding some hawker stalls charging much more than expected as observed by various other reviewers. It generally does not have best wishes Penang hawker meals in a single place , but has a reasonable selection so that you can try. In these severe times, come assistance the hawker company .... if it isn’t insane expensive

The open food court serving pasembur is managed by DECEPTIVE guys who overcharge tourists. Beware. One of these sings on the pasembur/foods spraying his saliva. Avoid. Was told the brand new food courtroom at Guerney Purchasing Plaza will be hygienic and wellness conscious. Enjoy.

I'd say this place it isn't so good for the purchase price, but there are many sort of food here however, not all the foods at the very top for the cost. The area is crowded sometimes but because the pandemic, the area become quieteras there have been less customers and several shop were near. But those who really wants to discover some local meals and want more options to select from can go right here . Those that wants to go out after dinner, the area is situated near the ocean and malls . Therefore, it will be a convenient spot to hang out .

Stall 56 was awful. The old girl running it is horrible. She took my desk and chair aside, claiming it had been hers! Sufficient reason for a bang, as well. I bet she has been just upset I purchased rojak from the stall opposite... close opposition right here. If youdon't like crowded, noisy hawker centres don't come here. Specifically not really stall 56 with which means that and grumpy old lady there. The owners may also be very territorial of these "territory" with another team arguing with a stallholder over a desk. Terrible location, don't come here.
