A house agent recommended me his fav foods haunt & we gave him a delicacy in substitution for such amazing roast meats by the high young owner who's enthusiastic, extremely welcoming & hospitable. Parking could be a headache with this short narrow road duringrush lunch hour. Thankfully, we obtained ours parked correct smack before this cafe. Undortunately, the beverage proprietor lady, chubby & filled with thick make-ups, taken care of our table having an mindset, a foul one. She had been aloof & terribly rude. We felt this Roast Meats owner man shld moved from this premise & begin somewhere else bcos several patrons had been disgusted with this particular beverage owner woman. The initial dish that popped up has been the Chye-Boey Soup & i, for just one adores this soup when i can cook this as well in the home. My verdict, it had been really delicious with all the current ideal tastes eg its sour (from asam keping), lovely, somewhat bitter (from the Kwah Chye), a tinch of spiciness (from the dried out chillies & peppers) & the ideal quantity of saltiness - 5 tastes into 1. Impeccably done! In some time, the roast meats emerged & boy oh boy, each of them appeared impeccable. This is just what roast meats are usually likely to look like - the colour, the consistency, the aroma, the slice ... all flawlessly harmonised. Each meat got its distinguished flavour & they really soared saturated in score. The particular sauce was simply rightly concocted to its complementing meat. Char Siu had been charred at the edges & tasted oomph & with properly bite-sized & tender consistency. Siu Yok has been incredibe - crispy, crunchy on the skins but tender without sufficient fatty part. Roast Poultry was awesome - up to now i reckon the most effective in Penang (more more advanced than Sin Nam Huat & others) - crispy outside but succulent inside. Kudos to the tall young proprietor & i motivated him to broaden another branch to Pulau Tikus or Tanjong Tokong. Another set-back again had been the ambience within the restaurant, it's therefore humid & stuffy that everyone in the premise perspired profusely, drenching our attire. Or even for the nasty mindset of the beverage woman owner, i would with all this guy a 5-Star ranking. For people who have however to try, i could only state, "Die, die must attempt". I reckon this chap ought to be produced the icon of roasted meats in Penang.

6 of us attained 11am on Saturday, 19/Aug/2017. We wanted the very much touted roast duck thus went came earlier. To your dismay and disbelieve, roast duck offers already been 'sold out;. Terrible. We then ordered siu yuk and char siew once we were told thesiu yuk's crackling is unbeatlable, and that their seat siew is the greatest around. Owner was strangely marketing roast chicken rather than their famed duck. The siu yuk was excellent but the skin had not been really crispy as boasted. The char siew became excellent too. Not tinted reddish with synthetic coloring, it came properly warbled with traces of extra fat so that it had not been dry and stringy. On top of that, it had been perfectly scorched so the charred bits had been crispy and caramelised. The initial platter of char siew cost us 20 ringgits. We asked for another platter. It came, like the first - portion sensible. However, to your suprise, we had been billed 50 ringgits for the next platter. Never to have their signature, famed roasted duck earlier Saturday morning is awful business ethics. We had been the first patrons whenever we reached the outlet. The overcharging for the next char siew platter meant we shall never ever patronise ths place once again. The outlet is pretty messy with regards to cleanliness (see pictures attached) and car parks a lot are very small. As others have described, the wall plug is stuffy and require a good cleaning up.
