It is a hidden gem sitting in Wisma KGN - just next to the first clan jetty counting from Gat Lebuh Prangin. Lots of people push past without taking see. The décor inside is actually great - with a couple gorgeous tiles on the wall space. The signature dishesare needless to say their various sort of rice dumplings - usual Bak Chang (pork dumpling), Nyonya Chang (sweet & savory fillings), Ti Chang (boiled or cooked in alkali water). It is possible to still order some regional noodles and lighting bites from the menus. I was amazed to get Vietnamese style fresh springtime rolls on the menus too. Do have a look at this location and you may not be disappointed.

It's a very spacious, well decorated, obvious shop that you could see when you go by the primary road. It's air-conditioned, clear and has a several tables where one can eat at that moment or order eliminate. We expect the dumplings to end up being goodsince the store is indeed well presented however was somewhat disappointed with it. The bak chang taste somewhat to the salty part and you may buy much better dumplings in other street side stalls.

Today, we're able to order a lot more of the things we like - high quality bak chang, prosperity bak chang and crystal dumplings (eliminate).

I had an individual salted egg yolk dumpling Rm8, was excellent, generous fillings. Salted egg yolk tasted awesome also it was wealthy golden. Also experienced the golden bean (mung bean) dessert. It had been good too, not as well sweet or starchy.

Yesteryear's favourites in an exceedingly today outlet. The dumplings we bought were huge and didn't disappoint. The bak chang includes glutinous rice with some type of filling wrapped in bamboo results in and steamed. When created and cooked, it requires the form of apyramid. The fillings generally are a combo of drinking water chestnuts, salted egg yolk, prepared peanuts, dried shrimp, shitake mushrooms and meats. We craved the Peranakan edition but this outlet will not offer the meat edition, Instead, theirs contain sugared peanut.. which we declined. So disappointing. Otherwise, great dumplings which have been fine tuned since 1975.

On the weekend, dropped by Fengyi to tapau or eliminate bak changs and kee changs for the coming Duanwu Jie or Dragon Boat Festival. Tested 1 already - taste great and original! However the bamboo results in wrapping skill is fairly awful. I suspect Fengyiis either making use of unskilled foreign workers to greatly help with the improved volume. On normal times, hopefully the changs will revert to raised looking wraps.

Because it was located just opp my hotel, went presently there to use their dumplings and found the taste to be ok and cheap. Because of the convenience and also pricing, made a decision to buy 10 normal dumpling along with 15 Nonya dumplings back again toSG. RM6 for his or her normal dimension pork dumpling and RM3.50 because of their small nonya dumpling
