My pal and I are in need of some real espresso, and stumble across this little little gem close to our hotel. Just what a shock to find made by hand coffee having an impressive variety of coffees. And the barista is indeed enthusiastic about informing us aboutthe various flavours. Thumbs up.

Été Café is discreetly tucked right into a row of shophouses close to Armenian Street; it had been initially @ No. 79 Lebuh Carnarvon but has since relocated to No. 25 Lorong Carnarvon. The quaint small café is open up from 12 noon till 6pm of all times -Closed on Wednesday. As before, the area is merely furnished with the shabby chic decoration which exudes the convivial ambiance. The existing premises offer greater convenience & more space because they have set up air-conditioning & extra seating in a back-room. Besides the daily supplying of French confectionery (electronic.g. gâteaux, crème brûléelectronic, macarons & quiche), gleam good collection of gourmet tea & artisan espresso on the menu. Having an on-site kitchen, they're now in a position to offer more range by adding Taiwanese beef / pork noodles, burgers & toast pizzas. We'd the Alhambra (chocolate & hazelnut), Apple company Tart with Chiboust, Été Like (mango & passionfruit), Mont Blanc (chestnut puréelectronic) & Royal Earl Grey (tea-infused mousse cake). All were scrumptious and evidently made out of premium ingredients, therefore the slightly greater than average prices here. The proprietors certainly are a Taiwanese couple who resettled in Penang after training at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. They conduct espresso appreciation workshops & culinary lessons for small groups as well; in case you are interested, method Chef Alex or his spouse, WaWa for details. Both Alex & WaWa are genuinely warm & open towards people, we were welcomed as guests and still left as friends. Once the café isn't too occupied, they'd gladly talk about not only their vast information on coffee & culinary issues but additionally their personal life tales e.g. travels overseas and experiences residing as expatriates in France & Malaysia. If you ever end up in George Town, carry out go to Été Café for a flavor of these exquisite French confectionery & signature siphon-brewed coffee.

A very interesting location. The barrista/chef is indeed deeply in love with his job he helps it be an unforgettable experience. Selection of coffee is massive. Desserts are top quality. Prices will stick out of the overall Penang range, but certainly worth it.

Ete Espresso was strongly recommended if you ask me by my pal from Penang. Alex the dog owner will be from Taiwan and in addition educated on roasting and collection of coffees. We'd various coffee which range from Arabica , Colombian and Brazilian. Barista Andrew is great in blending andcold drips. A little coffee joint however the ambience is hot and soothing as it’s coffee. Nothing at all to crow concerning the decor - only a place for espresso connoisseurs. Costs are on the higher side nonetheless it is worthy of your time and effort and money.

Love the delicate searching cakes, puffs, macaroons... somewhat on the pricy finish, but worth the attempt. Cozy ambience inside a tiny space.

Spotted this charming small cafe whilst searching for our accommodation within same road. There is something about it having said that ‘I’m various’ give me a go! So afterwards we did though it was right before closing time. A wonderful young man released us to theconcept of syphon espresso & explained loads concerning this mode of preparing that was fascinating & not used to us. The procedure makes a far more refined coffee that you consider with neither milk nor glucose. There is a huge selection of coffees to use too! An additional plus has been they hadn’t yet set aside their delightful macaroons! Certainly worth a visit!!
