We asked the resort to recommend an extremely nice Malaysian restaurant which was their suggestion. On a Wednesday evening it had been half full but just locals, we had been the only real tourists, always an excellent sign. The menu had been in English but we required alittle help, never to translate but to obtain it right. With just a little great humor we were comprehended. We produced the blunder of buying everything in the beginning, and so everything attained once. We possibly had a touch too very much but we obtained stuck in and achieved it justice. As previous reviewers have said a lot of typical Malay meals, also keep in mind you'll end up getting a fruit juice together with your dinner. Would I go once again, at the fall of a hat, but purchase little by little.

This restaurant is among the hardly any authentic Malay restaurant in inner Georgetown. Although many of the meals give a newer twist, with non conventional ingredients, the entire delicacy continues to be preserved. My highlight has been Fish Mind Curry with richly spiced gravy.Several patrons simply flood their rice plates with this particular very tasty gravy. My fish mind was fresh and properly cooked. It had been expensive but worthy of the tasty knowledge. Cleanliness & deco could possibly be improved further to obtain a 5-star rating.

We visited this restaurant with loved ones today and the meals was so delicious! All of the products were refreshing and the laundry had the heat of home-made food. We had a nice dining experience with foods of the very most exquisite flavours. Because of this Ihighly recommend likely to this restaurant .

We looked up best Malaysian in Penang which location came up. It had been definately not the best. We have to have turned away whenever we saw no-one in the eating place and again whenever we noticed a rat scaling the ceiling rafters. Howeverwe made a decision to give the meals a chance once we sensed for the proprietors and had already purchased before spotting the rat, but this resulted in further disappointment. The meats was hard and the most severe cuts. Unexpected tastes however, not in a great way. We have been normally very forgiving however in this case we can not allow it pass without evaluation and caution to others.

Nice place and reasonable prices. Food was delicious but.... beef slices as well thick and created from poor quality components made the dish challenging to chew. Masala omelette had not been spicy at all. Shrimps are usually fresh and nicely ready but again with out a contact of extraordinaries. On and in - could possibly be better. The services was fine.

Don't be defer by the old planet 30s/40s inside décor, it's an homage to Malaysian songs of the period (P. Ramlee), D'Dapor creates authentic Malay food that's very tasty and affordable. I went there many times and had conventional Malay poultry, beef andprawn dishes along with eggplant, ladies fingertips and asparagus veggie meals. Not too spicy, sensible.

Had an excellent lunch for the ladies collecting here, this was absolutely need preorder menu to create it efficient. Tasty foods, good part but it’s on Medium or Huge portion. Quite fast serving though it was full home on lunchtime. Curry fish mind, prawn in pepper sauce, squid Asam pedas, belacan kangkong and otak-otak had been so excellent. Old Malay design ambience and cozy. Reservation is necessary. Parking isn’t no problem finding. Very recommended!

Excellent restaurant serving wonderful food. This cafe was very quiet whenever we went one night that was very surprising. The area itself is fantastic - very atmospheric with plenty of old features and decorations The songs sou fslime it really is from the 1940s or 50sand increases the ambience. The food is excellent. Sour mango salad swimming in seafood sauce prawns in a whitened pepper sauce and squid in tamarind. All amazing. Service was good also it was good value. We actually enjoyed it.
