On our very first day in Penang we walked from Jelutong to the Aged Town - a distance of 4-km. No large offer in rural Australia (where we live), but an enormous challenge in crowded roads, temp around 34C, and humidity at saturation stage! We NEEDEDair-con, espresso, and smiles. This location shipped all three in spades. Delicious whitened coffee, VERY helpful guys running the area, clear and kinda 'Westernised' - huge chalkboard with cartoons onto it, and the option to create anything you wanted in a luggage label, and tie the label to the branches of 2 'trees' at about ceiling height. My lunch (poultry burger) was excellent. My wife's (poultry salad) not quite so excellent - but we'd readily recommend this joyful, friendly and affordable cafe (2 coffees, 2 fresh juices, and foods as observed for RM 50).

I visited about 14 days ago about a Fave present. Dirty Aglio Olio, salad & hot lemon tea. Afterwards i ordered garlic breads. The salad is wonderful. The filthy aglio olio provides anchovies / anchovy paste in the dish - altogether okay - but infinitelythe authentic aglio olio could have already been nicer tasting. The youthful Indian gentleman who was simply the waitor- was type and courteous. Garlic loaf of bread was not impressive/ substandard - and was served if you ask me without so very much as a phrase or a grin - by another guy - whom i presume - should be the ? cook. Ambience was fine.
