This restaurant situated inside Queensbay mall. We purchased kimchi pork and veggie pancake. These were delicious. I really like their kimchi. They provided us two dishes of leftover miso soup because they had been closing the store. :-D

Cho Dong Jib is situated on the North Finish of Queens Road (Queensbay Mall food degree). It really is supposed to become part of a favorite restaurant chain using its origin in South Korea. Therefore our expectation on the meals authenticity was high in the first place..The table is really a stainless table top set together with a barrel. Be cautious where you location your stainless water tumbler (supplied by the restaurant), it could topple as the surface isn't flat and level. We ordered BBQ pork tummy (samgyeopsal-gui, excellent, cooked in cooking area), doenjang jjigae (much too salty) and steam rice. The medial side dishes tasted a little off. The celery and spinach meals tasted distinctly Chinese. The beansprout dish doesn't have the most common sesame oil aroma regular of Korean beansprout part dish. Only genuine tasting aspect dish - kim chi! My children eats at Korean dining places a lot. And I have already been on multiple journeys to South Korea. My reference on flavor authenticity is founded on that.

I've tried all of the Korean Eating place in Penang, and I must say that takes the win. As a korean I am searching for authentic korean meals and failed in every the locations in Penang nevertheless Cho Dong Jib's meals are highly authentic andtaste excellent at an excellent price. The BBQ is actually good and also the manager explained they use premium charcoal to find the best tasting korean BBQ. My favourite may be the cheese tteokbokki and their squid-pork is unlike a great many other korean dining places, it tastes authentic and the sauce preferences really great. I've been there often and the provider is really friendly plus they give me more service as a normal customer. We highly recommend this!! + They use Malaysia's very first ever vacuuming program where all of the BBQ smoke cigarettes goes beneath the table so the smell won't stay toy the skin we have and clothes :))

Attentive staffs. Will be nicer if the jajangmyeon noodles are usually round rather than flat. In any case, the jajangmyeon sauce blend is good.

I am pleased i dropped by for supper with my parents final weekend. The place is really a bit small, therefore do go earlier if u possess a big group. We'd seafood tteokbokki, sundubujiggae n pork stomach & squid bulgogi. Portion really was large ngood for sharing. Meals were great n delicious. The medial side dishes are great too specifically the kimchi that is perfectly marinated. Service was great. Desire to visit next period to test other dishes.
