We attained around 9 pm in a weekday so when expected there is no big crowd. Car parking was non existence therefore we parked across the main street and walk about 70 meters to the stall. The stall actually contains 3 seafood stalls and2 beverage stalls. The primary stall, Adnan, only acts ikan bakar, rice and nasi lemak. Another one, which we have no idea the name, acts seafood in different ways except grilled. One stall just acts fried calamari. You need to pay out each stall separately if they send you the meals and drinks. We purchased grill jenahak and prawn and nasi lemak from Adnan, blended vege and fried calamari. The verdict? The seafood and prawn had been overcooked with the seafood skin burned. The vege was so so. The very best had been fried calamari which we purchased twice. Evaluating to Malacca's ikan bakar or some stalls in KL, the meals here has been below par. The only real consolation was the purchase price. We experience the it was somewhat cheaper than other areas that we have already been. Will we get back to this location again if we have been in Penang? We shall say no. We instead look for other food stuffs that Penang is well-known for.

Can't recalled when may be the last period I went right here but this location is the best for ikan bakar within Penang. The shop is operated under a tents that i believe temporarily, to create solution to Medan Selera Ikan Bakar Telok Tempoyak (under growth). Ifthis place would be to commercialize, ample parking space are among the things that ought to be put into consideration. The street is narrow in fact it is also harmful for guest to recreation area at the roadside. The primary reason I thought we would come here is due to Adnan's shop. I love the taste of these sambal paste in fact it is constant throughout my go to. You may chosen whitened rice/nasi lemak. Plus, the fish is indeed fresh (it really is situated at fishermen village). For the fried calamari, you might select from RM 10,15 or 20 and whilst for drink, you can purchase per jug (for big family) Note: For moms and dads with young kids, it will be advisable so that you can monitor your child in order to avoid unwanted incident when you are experiencing your meal. Much better be safe.

This ikan bakar joint in Telok Tempoyak, Penang Island (near batu Maung) can be an traditional style grilled fish( very2 fresh) restaurants. But usually do not anticipate aircond/ glitzy set up, since its the original huge stall by the drinking water edge. Dealing with 2nd bridge believe it or not.. Closed onmondays.

Have been arriving at this put on and off because the late nighties. The product quality has remained exactly the same and constant over the years. Helps to keep me returning for more! They used to use in a make-shift temporary structure however now have shifted into thenew Astaka or hawker centre. Adnan bin Hassan just specialises inside grilling seafood having an emphasis on seafood. If you want another thing you gotta head to among the other stalls. Right here it is grilled seafood or locally referred to as Ikan Bakar. The Ikan Bakar here suits my tastebuds, beautifully grilled with sambal and served with dipping sauces. Have got eaten ikan bakar from coast to coast but that is my favourite spot. This is simply not a flash place. Not really for all those looking for top quality dining. Just great grilled seafood in a straightforward open air atmosphere in a fishermen's village. The seafood is new and the look at of the next Penang Bridge is okay. Love it!
