If you've enjoyed the wonderful cafes and dining places in Batu Ferringhi (notice my earlier overview of Long Beach) which cater mainly for vacationers (both Malaysian and from overseas) but wish to try an alternative solution - frequented mainly by locals - with cheap and carefullyprepared cuisine, fall in for supper at Hong Guan's Cafe and RESTAURANT (contrary the Golden Sands Hotel). You can't skip this welcoming place - between your taxi position and Lee's Mini Marketplace, opposing the Petronas Petrol Station. For under 10 Malaysian Ringgit it is possible to dine on delicacies pictured on the menu (my favourite, poultry basil rice). Enjoy!

An agreeable outdoor/indoor eatery offering a number of foods, includin Western. Not just a bad location to stop by for breakfast if you don't want consume at your hotel each morning.
