Location: It is ideal next the the marketplace, close by to ParkRoyal and Vacation Inn. No problem finding, you won't miss it! Food: Well.... as much other reviewers had described, this is simply not a "Thai" cafe and I'd badge it being an Asianrestaurant. It can relatively good Asian meals and seafood is clean. When you head into the eating place, an English speaking personnel will show you through the menus, assist you to choose your seafood from the tanks, weight it and have you "the way you want to buy cook". I extremely salty egg crab since it is yummy yummy. Of course, once you look deeper in to the menu, you ought to be find your favourate Asian food. I love the prawn fried rice and banana leaf poultry, both of these comes highly recommended. Price: Some reviewers said it is a tourist trap and foods are overvalued. Well, IMHO, I believe the meals is reasonable priced, expensive however, not crazy expensive. By the end of the day, you're paying for the positioning (a restaurant right close to the beach) and new seafood. If you are not just a seafood eater, you might find how big is your bill affordable. Staff: Most employees speaks English and incredibly friendly. They defintately can suggest you on what your seafood ought to be cooked. The 8:30pm show: Well.... in all honesty, I believe the restaurant proprietor can consider "chopping" the 8:30pm present. It is extremely poor, waste materials of owner's cash and instead, much better come back on investmeny, could be to provide special discount, free of charge welcome beverages/beers or a several dish with the amount of money. The show had been rather poor..... actually, I'd say it really is bad.... In summary: I will return back again. Well... in fact, I have recently been back once. The meals can be yummy and MYR8.00 for a brand new coconut, how will you call that expensive.

The restaurant tried to scam us. We had been clear we wanted 1 little dish each per individual. Among the three folks is vegetarian therefore we particularly clarified her order. Once the food arrived it had been 1 big dish of every (each dishmade for three people). We got huge dish of the seafood that the veg individual impossible can eat. Also the rice where we stated we just want to buy for one individual we obtained three bowls. The resraurant claimed they are able to just do large (3 person) dishes although you can find sele tion of little and moderate in the menus. We appeared and nowhere it mentioned you need to purchase 3 portions of every dish. After arguing with the personell whenever we got the foods so when we were to cover we just got topsy for what we purchased and got a low cost (that people did not require) using one dish. Be cautious in the event that you go there never to be fooled!!! This is a pity as the food is fairly good.

It is a huge restaurant not definately not where we stayed - it had all of the marine life on screen, a cultured traditional Malay dance on show that was nice but my goodness the meals was awful. We purchased the salted egg calamari (medium) theplate may have fed an army. The KangKung Belacan had been soaked and soggy, the fried rice has been awful. The steamed seafood was not too poor to be reasonable but al;l of this left an extremely bad flavor in my own mouth - shameful

When to Penang to possess this delicious Golden Thai Seafood, with authentic Tomyam seafood; Pandan poultry, braised tofu with seafood, rather than forgetting vegetables making use of their usual peanuts 😋😋😋

As you enter you can find tanks full of seafood and crustaceans waiting to be netted, chopped and cooked, plus some good sized, dead prawns on ice. They're priced by excess weight, clearly shown and realistic (albeit v expensive when compared to local stalls). However the personnel memberwho guided us through this technique *did not* point out there was a typical and cheaper menus; we only discovered after ordering, addressing our table then inquiring about starters. Whilst we had been choosing our fish the girl offered us a 'little' rice, we inquired for a 'medium' to talk about between 2, she *do not* talk about that the moderate feeds 4-5 individuals and costs RM40 (£8) - you can get 4 full foods at a hawker stall for under that. We requested to include some veggies in the rice, she *did not* reveal we'd be billed RM28 (+£5) for one or two 2 finely cut bok choi leaves. Once the bill came in addition they mis-charged us RM70 for the rice, excluding the veg. We purchased a bottle of whitened wine, it was hot and unexceptional. At the very least the seafood - and the papaya salad beginner - were OK.

My partner, son and We dined one evening. Good Tom Yum soup. Expertly designed with an uncommon and pleasing selection of seafood within. Honey poultry ... relatively easy and two dimensional - those measurements being ... honey and poultry. Spicy mango poultry was just alright.Prawn dish ... messy to cope with and not well worth the trouble. Waitress recommended we proceeded to go for small instead of medium size dishes - suggestions we implemented and later found appreciate. Good iced mango drinks. Assistance though, overall, was laughably poor. The waiters were therefore miserable and discourteous that it certainly appeared like we were surviving in a black humor. Dancing on stage - not necessarily necessary. Avoid the “trap” once you stroll in - they make an effort to railroad you into choosing from the live life seafood tanks at the entry - as though that’s the only method to order. Costs are per 100g - many fish viewed least 800+ grams within so you could quickly become parting with 300 ringetts for an individual dish before you say “Amex”. Certainly a tourist trap nonetheless it would end up being unfair not to supply the kitchen credit for a few great cooking.

Service, meals, ambience and place were all Okay. But at a cost that makes the united kingdom look inexpensive. Beer for instance has been 50% above what one might expect somewhere else in Malaysia.

Head to Golden Thai Seafood Village for the best comfort seafood supper. No Thai dinner begin with out a kicky Tom Yum Talay offering aromatic and zingy tom yum soup with seafood. Then go directly for the Nasi Ambeng that has a mountain of ricesurrounded on all sides by bergedils, milky poultry curry and a succulent, somewhat spicy rendang. Maintain this spot at heart for group outings.
