I was here three years ago. After tasting the main one in Westin Kuala Lumpur about 4-5 years back, I visited Prego @ Westin Desaru Coastline and the food but not at par with the main one in Kuala Lumpur, it had been still good.Yesterday had been an enormous disappointment. After Prego in Kuala Lumpur shut down, I has been dying to come right down to Westin Desaru Coastline for my carbonarra and calamari repair. However my expectations was photo down.First of all the calamari fritters. It wasn't remotely near to the types I got twice at Prego in Kuala Lumpur and Desaru Coastline three years ago. The batter had been so thicker, soggy and undercooked. Although squid was whitened, some how it didn't taste as new.My second greatest dish at Prego was furthermore stomped to the bottom, the spaghetti carbonara. three times in Prego they released the cheese wheel where they mixed the spaghetti in the cheese wheel before helping. This time around, no cheese wheel also it tasted a little 'off' nearly souring. The Seafood pizza saved the complete dinner despite the fact that the clams had some smell.A very important factor I couldn't understand was the spaghetti and calamari fritters found us frosty. I remembered getting it in Prego Kuala Lumpur, it had been piping warm when it had been served if you ask me and the batter has been slim almost tempura like.Uncertain should they changed the recipe but it'd definitely very poor.I wanted to purchase the mud pie but stopped brief right after tasting the calamari, spaghetti and pizza. Don't desire to include to the set of disappointment.Employees and service had been impeccable, such as before but food sensible is really a huge ,Kid-friendliness: Helpful towards children and accommodating to households with kids

We reserved a desk for a romantic fine dining encounter but were underwhelmed. First of all, they obtained our reservation dates incorrect and the manager attemptedto turn us aside rudely. He ultimately accommodated us, albeit unwillingly after talking with the hotel front workplace that took our demand.Dress program code for Seasonal Flavor is casual but also for Prego, it really is indicated as intelligent casual. We decked out for supper since reviews mentioned great dining. However there is a big band of visitors putting on shorts and slippers. Not forgetting they were boisterous as well. Subsequent dinners mostly emerged in shorts and slippers aswell.Bread has been served without essential olive oil so when requested, the waiter (that appeared inexperienced and untrained) checked and inform all of us that they run away of essential olive oil. Erh, significantly? But that is an Italian eating place; how are usually they gonna cook? We'd the seafood risotto that your menu indicated 20mwithin wait period. It came in 10min, to your delight. It had been well executed with regards to taste and doneness. Nevertheless, the prawn weren't refreshing and the mussels had opted bad. A complete pity.Overall, it really is commendable in order to operate an upmarket establishment within a small city. But for the purchase price they order, I'd suggest to teach your waiting employees and change the supervisor. Another suggestion is always to have a leaf from Turmeric. They will have their weakness as well, but Prego has a lot more. Simply my 2 cents.

We'd heard reviews of Prego’s carbonara and made a decision to come here to provide it a chance. RM70++ for a pasta had been on the pricier aspect but we were thrilled of the cheese wheel. Sadly, that theatre didn’t take place. Disappointment apart, we tucked into our carbonara. My comments of it had been that it had been under seasoned and the flavor of the beef strips didn't arrive through the pasta. The pasta utilized was also thinner compared to the spaghetti no. 5 and properly past al-Dante. Unfortunate bottom line was that my do-it-yourself carbonara certainly tastes much better.Other sides we'd were the Caesar salad (dressing of the Caesar didn’t taste legit), and the breads served for the desk were dry and once again, not fresh.Understanding of the meals by the staff may possibly also improve aswell.Overall an extremely mediocre dining experience rather than quite really worth the RM450 spent.

Murphy’s law, whatever can fail will fail.1) We walked directly into make reservation within noon, no-one was in the cafe and happened that people bumped right into a kitchen employees whom kindly assisted all of us in reserving after this individual made a call.Night time as we went around the counter staff, our reservation couldn’t end up being discovered.2) We made our purchase and the order employees repeated to re-verify around. All food were offered, except risotto which we understood would consider 20 mins cooking food time. Once we were nearly finishing our foods, we checked through to risotto again.Another program personnel came upward saying that the risotto had not been in the purchase. I mentioned the purchase personnel repeated the purchase earlier that was correct. Service staff explained risotto had not been registered in program. She did asked if we wanted another thing, we chosen never to.Regrettably we didn’t really feel her being apologetic for the blunder. Maybe will be great if she may have reassure us our new order will undoubtedly be expedite.3) We settled our bill, prepared to leave. Abruptly another new service employees came around us with 2 complimentary desserts for the blunder. It came too past due once we were too complete and leaving. With regards to food, Personally i think the pumpkin soup is great. Pasta variety is bound. The linguine not really al dente and seafood not really fresh. Not just a restaurant that I'll visit again.

The mamak in JB central offers better service. Manager found us after 40 mins, to inform us that the wife’s order is sadly unavailable. Place wasn’t also 1/3 full therefore i think Prego management must appearance into this, or simply they are checking out a fresh concept - “ways to get your visitors upset 101”. We attempted closing one eye whenever we had to in fact ask for the breads basket (took 3 tries with various staffs to effectively get that) but that one, arriving to us whenever we were already finished with appetisers and 3/4 through my cool pasta because of my try to this wait around out warrants because of this review. In case you are a danger taker, that is worth a shot

Nice location from Westin Desaru, we took the alfresco area dealing with the pool also it was great and breezy. Walked in on a sat evening with out a reservation and were able to become seated in a jiffy. The personnel were attentive and in a position to taken care of us quickly, so general it was an excellent experience! We sensed the food was instead pricey but understandable with the positioning. Food quality had been above average - breads basket was generous. Sensed the carbonara has been a little on the dry part but everything else was good!
