Laksa stall is situated in a coffee store referred to as Nan Guang Coffeeshop,at 67 Main Road,11000, Balik Pulau, Penang .Company hours: 10.00 am - 5.00 pm (Wednesday to Sunday ) It has 2 forms of laksa, assam laksa and lemak laksa (a single with coconut milk).Itried the assam laksa which emerged in clean soup and was really delicious. It had been not too spicy. The dark prawn paste ( pronounced as hair ko ) is optional based on your taste.I usually require the prawn paste to be added. Place is generally crowded but wait period is short.Street car parking is really a problem as street is narrow .So anticipate to park a distance apart and stroll to stall. There exists a public car park close to stall but it is generally full.

Friends explained that the very best, Asam Laksa, isn't in Penang City however in Balik Pulau. Therefore away from we went driving completely to take a look. Yesss... it had been worth the drive. Location is packed but support is fast. Taste amazing... andrequests for even more prawn paste no problem. Coffee shop also offer a refreshing nutmeg fruit juice.

We purchase one asam, one lemak, and something combine (asam & lemak). While flavor is entitle to private opinion, it is most likely the best laksa I've attempted in Penang. Despite its reputation, the employees there seem friendly plus they took significantly less than 5 minutesto work our food!

Had Penang Assam Laksa and also the Siam Laksa. Recommend the Assam Laksa since it reminds me of the initial Penang Assam Laksa rather than the sour orange colour KL standards that therefore many sell nowadays

Where may find a plate of laksa preferences delicious? Could one discover one around..Air Hitam..or can you prefer to travel much to Balik Pulau? From near or even outstation..possibly by bus or even by own transportation..eat in or even takeaway packets..assam or even lemak laksa is crucial.Situated at the primary road close to the old market place now a parking bunch. You can not miss it since it reaches the cornershop..or even ask around.

Just locals know this place since it is quite definately not Georgetown. Contain 2 forms of Laksa, Siam and Assam. We attempt both and both furthermore delicious. The taste is way better compared to the famous stall at Ayer Hitam.

Although everyone appears to believe Air (or Ayer) Itam Laksa is the greatest place in Penang to obtain that dish (in fact it is, indeed delicious there), I personnaly think Kim Laksa is way better and that for three major reason : 1) They place pineapplein their laksa and Personally, i prefer it this way. 2) They will have nutmeg fruit juice, something everyone oughts to use at least once. 3) Right close to it really is an indian man selling the Malaysian-indian desert manufactured from coconut and brown glucose that's exactly what you will need after finishing your laksa.

Ate as of this roadside coffeeshop stall 5 years back, and it was great. On my latest trip there once again, everyone within my table was dissatisfied - we ordered both Assam and Siam laksa variations, however both appeared to be without flavour, witha slim broth. Has the administration changed, or do they spend less by watering down the recipe??

When I was surviving in Pg 15 years back, they was previously good and delicious. Currently it’s lousy and the asam laksa was therefore watered down till it had been tasteless. We were therefore disappointed that people didn’t also take any pictures. Meh.
