Dayang Sarawak Corner, Permaisuri is the high place to visit to indulge your tastebuds with their indigenous recipe. They have a total of six outlets around KL and Selangor. The Bandar Sri Permaisuri outlet is located at Complex Permaisuri, Queensville Tower. The store is spacious, colourful, and well-decorated with Sarawakian art and designs. The store had a peaceful ambience, making it an excellent place to have a quality conversation with your family or friends.

Laksa Sarawak
The Laksa Sarawak served in Dayang Sarawak Corner comes with prawns, fried egg, bean sprout noodles and the famous Laksa Sarawak gravy. The laksa was presented beautifully and seemed pretty tasty, as shown in the image. The dish was undoubtfully delicious. The gravy had a creamy taste with a very mild hint of spiciness. The prawns were also fresh to be consumed. This dish is the perfect choice for the local Sarawakian taste!
Nasi Goreng Dabai
Their Nasi Goreng Dabai is another dish that you should look out for. It is served with a fried egg, sambal belacan, some crackers, and a bowl of hot soup. I expected the fried rice to be a little spicy, but it wasn’t. It had a robust creamy-like taste. It tastes even better if you eat it with the sambal belacan served together. It adds a little spicy to the dish. If you want to dish to be a little salty, pour some soup on the rice.
Mee Kolok & Mee Kolok Merah
The taste and texture of both Mee Kolok and Mee Kolok Merah were similar to Mee Sedap Noodles but with extra flavour.
The Mee Kolok Merah is prepared by mixing the red paste with the noodles, served with sliced boiled chicken, Japanese mustard leaves, and Pak Choy. Although the Mee Kolok Merah was a little salty, it was still delicious. Even the chicken slices were soft and sweet. I’m sure you’re going to love it.
On the other hand, the Mee Kolok is prepared without red paste. Onion oil, soy sauce, mustard leaves, bean sprout, fried onions, and beef are added onto the noodles. The beef can be replaced by other meat like chicken or prawns upon request. The Mee Kolok had a sweet and salty taste, and it was well-cooked.
3 Layer Gula Apong Tea & Fairlady Drink
To wash it all down, we had their 3 layer gula apong tea and another drink called Fairlady. They were both delicious. The 3 layer gula apong tea consisted of gula apong (palm sugar), evaporated creamer and tea. The drink was served in a tall glass. It was mildly sweet, which was pretty satisfying if you ask me. On the other hand, the Fairlady had evaporated creamer, fruits like pineapple and lychee, and some nata de coco. Similar to the 3 layer gula apong tea, the Fairlady too was less sweet than it looked. It just tasted creamier than the 3 layer gula apong tea. Even the nata de coco was soft and fresh.
Overall, Dayang Sarawak Corner Permaisuri is the perfect restaurant for bringing family and friends whenever you want to satisfy your cravings with authentic Sarawakian cuisine.
