Recommended Food: Seafood Aglio Olio, Signature Grill Chicken Chop, Hash Browns, & Fried Chicken Wings.
Recommended Drinks: Golden Lychee Soda.
Seafood Aglio Olio (RM25)
The seafood Aglio Olio happens to be one of Ate Tea Café’s best-selling, customer-preferred dishes. The seafood aglio olio is served with squid, prawns, mussels, capsicum and grinded basil leaves sprinkled around the plate for presentation purposes. After having a bite, the team instantly understood why the seafood aglio olio was the best-selling dish. The noodles were soft and well-cooked. The prawn and mussels were also soft, while the squid had a chewy texture. Overall, the seafood aglio olio had a rich nutty flavour with a mild hint of sweetness, and it was pretty good!
Signature Grill Chicken Chop (RM20)
The signature dish of Ate Tea Café is their Grill Chicken Chop. It is marinated in a homemade sauce, which is also their recipe. The chicken grill was served with coleslaw, fries, and black pepper sauce. It had a solid sweet, yet smoky taste to it. The meat was absolutely soft and tender. Cutting the Grill Chicken Chop was a piece of cake! The fries were well-cooked with a good amount of salt. They were crunchy from the outside but hella soft from the inside!
Hash Brown (RM 10) & Fried Chicken Wings (RM 15)
The hash browns and fried chicken wings were in a five and six-piece serving, respectively. By the looks of the hash brown, it seemed to be fried well. The hash browns were not too oily, had a crunch to them and were a little salty as it is supposed to be. On the other hand, their fried chicken wings may not be as crunchy as KFC Fried Chicken, but still, it has a certain level of crunch that you can enjoy. The meat was soft and delicious.
Golden Lychee Soda (RM 12)
Apart from the availability of alcoholic beverages, you may try ordering their Golden Lychee Soda. A very refreshing drink to help you wash down the meal you just had!
Below are the alcoholic beverages that Ate Tea Café serves:
- Carlsberg
- Blanc
- Apple Cider
- Asahi
- Stout
They even have a beer promo which runs all day. Buy two buckets to get one plate of free fries!
They usually have an in-house live band that plays amazing songs if you’re planning to visit them any day between Thursday and Saturday.
Overall, the food and drinks at Ate Tea Café make it an irresistible spot to have your lunch, tea or dinner with family or friends.
